Mysterious Lake Discoveries

Encompassing an area of 30 hectares, the Kurtna Lake District is known for approximately 40 lakes, with Lake Matasjarv being one of them that formed during the region’s glaciation. While exploring the lake, Kaspar was also intrigued by a rope that resembled a boat anchor. However, the lake’s remote location and challenging navigation meant that it was not a popular destination for boating activities.

Considering the difficulties involved in bringing a boat to such a swamp, the presence of the anchor and markings only deepened the mystery. This incident soon became the talk of the community, spreading like wildfire and generating a buzz of curiosity among the locals.
