Gretchen Wilson – Redneck Woman

Some say that country music hasn’t been the same since the turn of the century. Many long for the pre-2000 days of outlaw sound and the pop-country. But then there are those like Gretchen Wilson, who burst onto the scene in 2004 with her smash hit Redneck Woman and proved that country is not dead.
Wilson won a Grammy for that song and has sold a total of 8.2 million records worldwide since her debut. She was a latecomer on the scene, breaking through at the age of 30. But she was fresh-faced then, and it’s still the same now, at the age of 48.
