Richard Thomas – 73

Thomas was born on June 13, 1951, in New York, the son of dancers Barbara Fallis and Richard S. Thomas, who were members of the New York City Ballet and owners of the New York School of Ballet.
Thomas has a nevus on his left cheek, which he claims cost him a role in a television commercial during his youth.
He studied at Columbia College, the undergraduate college of Columbia University, where he initially majored in Chinese before switching to the English department. After securing his role in The Waltons, he had to leave his studies in his third year due to the full-time commitment required for the role in Los Angeles.
