Manatees are majestic creatures often associated with the mythical lore of mermaids, captivate with their elephant-like appearance. Preferring the embrace of water, they surface periodically for essential oxygen before gracefully submerging into the depths, resurfacing their magnificent bodies after up to 20 minutes.
While most manatees find solace in the aquatic realm, we can’t help but notice the abundance of this particular individual. Perhaps it has indulged in a prolonged period of rest or enjoyed an extravagant feast. After all, manatees can consume up to 10% of their body weight in food daily, giving them the appearance of having devoured a week’s worth of sustenance in a single sitting!
