Imagine boarding a subway and finding yourself seated next to a scene straight out of a gothic novel. A woman, decked out in all black—from her jet-black hair to her dark lipstick and eyeshadow—perfectly embodies the goth aesthetic. But it’s not just her attire that captivates; perched regally on her knees is a live black raven, an unexpected subway companion.
While most transit systems have strict policies about pets, typically only allowing animals in carriers or service pets, this raven seems to be an audacious exception, perhaps due to its calm demeanor or the mysterious aura of its owner. On the bright side, nobody will ever think of messing with her!
