Steve Wright has entertained BBC Radio 2 listeners for more than 25 years. He is largely credited for launching the zoo format, which describes the zany and wacky segments on British radio. On the screen, you might have seen him hosting BBC shows like “Top of the Pops,” “Auntie’s TV Favourites,” and “Home Truths.”
Wright also presented the 2009 Michael Jackson special aired on “TOTP2.” Over the course of his work on BBC Radio 1, he had a hand in getting the Afternoon Posse on the UK charts. His earnings from BBC Radio 2 alone stand at a reported $582K annually, bringing his estimated worth to $6M.
