British rock band Queen enjoyed massive worldwide success for over four decades, placing themselves as one of the world’s best-selling music artists. Their most notable hit, “Bohemian Rhapsody,” was written by lead vocalist Freddie Mercury who revealed that the song was a combination of three songs he had written.
It is a six-minute satire and consists of several sections, yet without a chorus. Nevertheless, it achieved widespread success among the mainstream audience. It topped the UK Singles Chart for nine weeks and is the UK’s third best-selling single. It also entered the charts in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the Netherlands. The song was awarded certified Diamond in 2021.
