He Had a Tense Encounter

As Malachi hurried through the town, a tall man suddenly blocked his path, causing him to freeze. There was something unsettlingly familiar about this figure, a vague memory tugging at the edges of his mind, but he couldn’t quite place it. The man’s piercing gaze softened, as if he, too, was struggling to recall where he knew Malachi from.
