Queen Letizia Ortiz, the wife of Spain’s King Felipe, is famous for her impeccable style and choice of chic designer outfits. Before their marriage in 2004, Ortiz worked as a journalist and anchor for news networks like Televisión Española, ABC, and CNN.
Growing up in a middle-class family, Ortiz followed in her father’s footsteps to study journalism before adopting it as a profession. The future Queen of Spain met King Felipe VI in 2002 when she was working on the news story of the Prestige tanker oil spill. The two would get engaged in 2003, one year before hosting their wedding ceremony at the Royal Palace of Madrid.
