Boarding the Titanic
This photograph was taken of the RMS Titanic before it embarked on its inaugural voyage. The attire of the women, in long dresses and hats, and the men, in suits and hats, was a reflection of the fashion of the time. But times have changed, and with the advent of technology, travel has advanced significantly.
Today, holidaymakers can enjoy luxurious cruises on enormous vessels with an array of amenities, such as shopping malls, hotels, and water parks. Though the Titanic was also a symbol of luxury, boasting a swimming pool, a Turkish bath, and a squash court, commercial flights have taken over as the preferred mode of transportation.
