The fabulous Katy Perry we know today once went by her real name, Katy Hudson. It all began in 2001 when she burst into the entertainment scene with her first-ever studio album, which she cleverly named after herself. Katy didn’t start off in fancy clubs. Nope, she actually began her singing journey in good ol’ churches.
Her very first CD was jam-packed with gospel tunes and the snapshot on the right perfectly captures her one-of-a-kind style from way back, long before she became famous for her interesting outfits and makeup. Clearly, her new game plan paid off big time, making her one of the greatest-selling artists ever.
