Ricky Gervais is no stranger to fans of the British version of “The Office.” Many believe that he owes a vast portion of his £104.9 million fortune to the show’s success. Interestingly, “The Office” was created for BBC by Gervais and his co-writer, Stephen Merchant, before the release of the American version.
Following the success of The Office, Gervais has appeared in many other series and movies, including “Extras,” “The Ricky Gervais Show,” “Night at The Museum,” and the 2021 animated short film, “Save Ralph.” Thanks to lucrative syndication and licensing deals, the British filmmaker will be earning a lot more in years to come.
