Confronting a Liar

No clear rules dictate the proper behavior one should take when confronting a liar. But at such times, it is wise to expect a lot of deflection and gas lighting. Rebecca knew that if her husband had successfully deceived her for the seven years they were together, he would not up and confess so easily.

But no scenario she came up with could prepare her for what eventually happened. Her pathological liar of her husband could not handle being caught in his web of deception. And when she confronted him, he ended up abandoning Rebecca and her daughter in a Target parking lot a few miles from the beach.
