Akon became famous for releasing songs such as “Lonely” and “Locked Up,” but he also made headlines when he announced he planned on building a new city in his native Senegal. In 2021, Africa News reported that while there was nothing but a promotional placard in the site of the $6-billion “Akon City,” the project remained a possibility.
Luckily, buying an expensive car is not half as hard as founding your own futuristic city. All Akon had do to to get his hands on a customized Spyker C8 was spend about $385K. The C8 is powered by a 4.2L Audi V8 engine and comes with up to 620 horsepower.
