Queen Elizabeth’s love for her collection is so evident in the way she adorably shows it off to visitors in the Buckingham Palace. Some of the stamps are on display while others are understandably kept at St. James Palace.
Royal expert Phil Dampier shared that important guests such as heads of states get to see the vast collection of the monarch. One of the most expensive in the set is the Mauritian stamp, valued at $2 million, which the Queen brought in her 2002 tour to mark her Golden Jubilee.

Throughout the years, the 94-year-old has sold some of the duplicates in her collection, a move that was said to have helped her purchase even rarer pieces. It can be remembered that she bought 10 Penny Blacks for a quarter of a million dollars in the past.
