Drew Carey is an American actor, comedian, and game show host that gained stardom through “The Drew Carey Show” sitcom. After high school, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves and served for six years. He loved his time with the Marines describing it as a period where he felt accepted into a brotherhood.
He’s attributed the work ethics he needed to succeed in Hollywood to the military’s discipline. Carey has starred in several movies and TV shows and was handpicked to take over Bob Barker’s role as host of “The Price Is Right.” In 2021, the game show celebrated its 50th season, marking Carey’s 15th year.
