The Last Moments Of Lepa Radić, The People’s Hero

Lepa Radić’s story is one worthy of being in the history books. Then just a student, when World War II skirmishes reached her home country of Yugoslavia, she joined a movement that resisted Axis powers. She, along with her father and uncles, even fought in the battle, according to the Daily Kos.

Sadly, Radić later awarded the Order of the People’s Hero medal, was eventually captured. Before her demise, though, she showed one last act of courage. She refused to name her associates and only said that they would reveal their names when they came to avenge her.
