Freddie Mercury Okayed Wayne’s World Before His Death

The 1992 American comedy film “Wayne’s World” is credited as one of the catalysts that reintroduced Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” to the world, pushing it to the top of the U.S. singles charts. For those who haven’t seen the movie, its opening scene features a group of rowdy males jamming hard to the record-breaking single in a blue 1976 AMC Pacer.

Although the film was released months after the death of Queen’s frontman, Freddie Mercury, the group’s lead guitarist, Brian May, revealed that he showed Mercury the iconic scene before his passing, and he loved it.
