Dutch Trains Run on Wind

Sustainable energy is all the rage. Corporations and societies continue to seek out energy sources that meet our needs without compromising the ability of future generations to enjoy life. And some are better at it than others. The Netherlands is ahead of the curve.
In 2017, Dutch electric passenger trains became the first in the world to run entirely on wind energy. Unlike fossil fuel, a single windmill running for an hour can power a train for 20 miles, facilitating about 5,500 trips. In this way, about 600,000 passengers can commute daily without CO2 emissions.
