“Sure… Where?” – Matthew Perry As Chandler Bing in Friends
It’s the final scene of the final episode of the titanically popular sitcom “Friends.” The gang is saying goodbye to their NYC apartment and, after a few emotional kisses and hugs, they decide to go for a coffee. In the scene, Matthew Perry (‘Chandler Bing’) was supposed to say “Sure,” but he decided to ad-lib a surprising “…Where?” in the end.
With just one word, Perry made the audience laugh and caused his co-stars to go out of character briefly. The unscripted line was funny because it was evident that, just like they’d done for the whole series, the cast was surely going for coffee at their local spot, ‘Central Perk.’
