A Big Missed Opportunity – Norman Lloyd NOT in Citizen Kane
You may recognize the late American actor Norman Lloyd for his appearances in the TV series “Alfred Hitchcock Presents” and movies such as “The Age of Innocence” and “Dead Poets Society.” But guess what? Due to an ill-advised trip to New York City to do some forgettable radio work, Lloyd missed out on the opportunity of appearing in “Citizen Kane.”
In the early ’40s, Lloyd was reportedly part of Orson Welles’ troupe and was almost featured in the all-time classic “Citizen Kane.” To this day, it remains one of the most substantial missed opportunities in film history.
