Phil Collins – In The Air Tonight
As a musical icon who defined the ’80s era, Phil Collins stands head and shoulders above most of his contemporaries. Curiously enough, a series of fortunate events eventually led to his stardom during the 1980s. After playing for Genesis as a drummer, in a twist of fate, he became the band’s lead vocalist after the departure of frontman Peter Gabriel.
Branching out as a solo artist, Collins found fame during the early ’80s thanks to “In The Air Tonight,” “I Wish It Would Rain Down,” and “One More Night.” In October 2021, Collins’ rock band Genesis canceled its UK reunion tour, much to their fans’ disappointment.
