Legends of the ’70s and ’80s: Iconic Celebrities Who Are Still Alive And Kicking!

Lori Singer – Footloose

As a teenage dancer and cellist in “Fame” (1982–1983), Lori Singer’s dancing skills led to her breakout role the following year. In 1984, she was cast in the musical drama “Footloose,” wherein she used her experience as a concert cellist and her dancing/musical training from Julliard to wow audiences with her raunchy moves.

After reaching the heights of fame during a whirlwind of a decade, Singer went on a hiatus during the ’90s that lasted nearly two decades. In July 2021, Singer joined journalist Dan Rattiner as the two discussed her professional and personal life on his “Who’s Here in the Hamptons” podcast.
