Meet Our Adorable Titans: Don’t Judge These Gentle Giants By Their Size!

Saving the Swift and Majestic Giant Eland

Venture into the vast savannas between Senegal and the Nile River, and you might encounter the impressive giant eland. Holding the title of the largest antelope species, these creatures can stretch up to 110 inches in length! Despite their grand size, they’re no slowpokes – giant elands can sprint at a remarkable 43 mph while munching on tall grass and shrubs.

Tragically, these agile herbivores face extinction threats due to poaching in their native lands, including Congo, Chad, Central African Republic, Cameroon, Senegal, and South Sudan. Presently, they call Senegal’s Niokolo-Koba National Park their home. Let’s rally to preserve these quick-footed titans for future generations to marvel at.
