Hollywood Hounds: The Alaskan Malamute, A Star in Fur and Ice

Here’s the Alaskan Malamute, a four-legged powerhouse that combines a wolf-like allure with a friendly face. These dogs are built for endurance, boasting a thick double coat and sturdy bone structure, making them ideal sled-pullers in harsh climates. Bred by the Mahlemuts, an Inuit tribe in Alaska, Malamutes are brave, loyal, and strong-willed, making them fantastic wilderness companions.

Their star power isn’t limited to the icy trails though! Two Malamutes, Saffron and Kira, stole the spotlight as Balto and Togo in the 2019 Hollywood film, “The Great Alaskan Race.” In the limelight or out in the wild, Malamutes are always ready for their close-up!
