Doo-wop star Dion DiMucci, professionally known as simply Dion, rose to stardom in the ’50s. Now in his 80s, he continues to impress his fans and began collaborating with artists like Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison, Billy Gibbons, and Paul Simon for the masterpiece titled Blues With Friends.
His life, however, wasn’t always filled with fun times. Dion battled heroin addiction for 15 years, and this dark phase inspired him to release Christmas songs like You Know It’s Christmas in 2020. His time in the limelight is so inspiring that a musical is in the works.
