Not many artists are open to blending old genres with new ones, but Tom Paxton, a renowned folk singer who had inspired the likes of Dolly Parton and Bob Dylan, is one to champion the combination. He was catapulted to stardom in the ’60s but continues to be a major influence on the music scene nowadays.
The Lifetime Achievement Awardee is also accomplished in other fields, including in publishing children’s books. He has released acclaimed titles like Going to The Zoo, The Marvelous Toy, Engelbert the Elephant, and Jennifer’s Rabbit. Recently, Paxton participated in Ola Belle Reed’s Songwriter’s Retreat.
