Willie Nelson – Age 88
We are all grateful to Willie Nelson for giving us classic country hits like ‘On the Road Again’ and ‘Blue Eyes Crying in The Rain,’ among others. Nelson has been known for pushing the conservative boundaries of society. He rose to fame with his revolt against the more mainstream Nashville sound used in country music. He championed a subgenre, known as outlaw country, that combines rock with folk rhythms.
Nelson has also acted in movies, the most remarkable being ‘Honeysuckle Rose’ and ‘Barbarosa.’ His passion for a more liberated and just society has led him to pursue activism. Even after so many years, Willie is still active in the entertainment industry.
