Julie Andrews, 85, Born in 1935 – The Sound of Music

Revered performer Julie Andrews began making a name for herself after starring in the Broadway piece The Boy Friend in 1954, garnering avid supporters ever since. Some of her musical works include The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, and My Fair Lady. She is widely recognized by her peers and even prestigious award-giving bodies like Grammy, Golden Globe, Academy, and SAG.
Despite her age, Andrews is not putting a halt to her acting run. The highly respected actress showed her prowess in the hit 2020 show Bridgerton as Lady Whistledown. You’ll also recognize her voice in the upcoming animated film Minions: The Rise of Gru.
