Mike Vitar was one of the well-known young actors who starred in “The Mighty Ducks” and “The Sandlot.” He was on the brink of making the switch from just another actor to a teenage TV star. Vitar, however, withdrew from the limelight in 1997, which was heartbreaking for his fans.
He gave a standout performance as Benny “The Jet” Rodriguez in the 1993 hit movie “The Sandlot.” But after making a few more minor appearances in films and TV shows, he decided to give up acting and focus on his actual passion. What that was, became clear once Vitar announced his decision to join the Los Angeles Fire Department.
