Minimalism, am I right?
If someone made us a card that got straight to the point, then here would be two examples of such cards. It is hilarious and eye-opening to see how powerful typeface and punctuation can convey tone and meaning! We don’t get the warm fuzzy feelings of having a great card, but we do get a hint of humor.
For anyone thinking of writing a funny card, try “it is your birthday.” Or perhaps you can also use, “this is your birthday card.” However, getting too minimal can come across as a bit rude to some, so pick the people you’ll use these on.
