Anderson Cooper likes doing things a little differently. Despite his mother being the venerable fashion icon and socialite Gloria Vanderbilt, he never expected anything from her estate. He also took a different route to his current TV anchor stardom by doing it without an actual journalism career.
Instead, he studied political science while interning at the CIA. He also lived in Vietnam while learning the language at the National University. He currently works as a correspondent for 60-Minutes, and as the host of Anderson Cooper 360⁰. He also inherited $1.5 million from his mother’s estate after she passed in 2019.
