Philip Michael Thomas – Miami Vice
Audiences today may not know the name Philip Michael Thomas, but his influence is still evident. Best known for playing police officer Ricardo Tubbs in the ’80s NBC show “Miami Vice,” he’s also credited for coining the term “EGOT” in reference to those who have won an Emmy Grammy, Oscar, and Tony award.
While he hasn’t become an EGOT himself, he did gain a Golden Globe nod in 1986 for his work in “Miami Vice.” Thomas continues to act occasionally, appearing in the short feature “Thank You, Fifteen” in 2015. Still as handsome as his past self, he’s also active on Instagram and often posts throwback photos of himself.
