Matt Dillon – The Outsiders

Some audiences may remember Matt Dillon more for his work in the films “There’s Something About Mary” and “Wild Things.” However, his filmography during the ’80s is what truly put him on the map. The 1983 coming-of-age movie “The Outsiders,” for example, saw him work with heavyweights like director Francis Ford Coppola and actor Tom Cruise.
He then cemented his place as a teen idol with “The Flamingo Kid” and “Drugstore Cowboy.” Dillon, who starred in the gangster film “Capone” in 2020, later made the transition into international art cinema, working with the likes of auteur Lars von Trier.
