Mary Chapin Carpenter – Come On Come On

Mary Chapin Carpenter had a minor bomb with her first album, making very little waves. But her 1992 album Come On Come On was the ones that really made her a big deal. The album released seven singles on the country charts and sold more than 4 million copies, going quadruple platinum.
She continued to release music throughout the ’90s, which weren’t as successful but did have hit singles on them. She also departed from her radio-friendly sound to create more thought-provoking songs. Carpenter isn’t known for being heavily made up, so it’s easy to see that her bare look isn’t far from her makeup face.
