The legendary singer-actress, TV personality, and mother of Chaz Bono, Cher, is a well-known pop icon who perhaps needs security. Funny enough, she didn’t see the need to enlist the services of a professional bodyguard until a specific violent event happened to her. Early in her career, a man physically assaulted her, only to be rescued by her manager.
Cher realized after the man was pulled off her that she needed bodyguards. She eventually engaged the services of Michael Francis, who was by her side for several years. Although she hired Francis after receiving death threats, their working relationship developed into a “siblings’ type.”
