Mo’Nique, The Reading – 100 Pounds
There’s nothing wrong with some curves. This is exactly what comedian Mo’Nique subscribed to when she was working the comedy scene. It even suited her for her Oscar-winning showing in Precious and her sassy role in the sitcom The Parkers. She was doing fine until she was diagnosed with high blood pressure and diabetes.
This prompted her into action and, believing that weight loss is about happiness and health, she set about a weight loss journey. She removed fried food and sugar from her diet and got a personal trainer, focussing on weight training and cardio. She also started dancing. Her next film is a 2021 production called The Reading.
