Susan Boyle, Britain’s Got Talent – 50 Pounds
Susan Boyle didn’t even win the season of Britain’s Got Talent she entered but still gained widespread success. The singer gained popularity for her version of Les Misérables’ version of I Dreamed A Dream, with her album of the same name becoming the fastest-selling debut album in UK history.
Her success came despite having the social condition Asperger’s syndrome. She was also overweight and was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. She attacked her diabetes and weight issue, cutting down on sugar, taking Garcinia Cambogia supplements, and exercising regularly. She lost 50 pounds and has sold 19 million albums as of 2021.
