Sherri Shepherd, Mr. Iglesias – 50 Pounds
Sherri Shepherd had no problem landing roles and earning a living. She was popular as the lead character in the show Less Than Perfect and also had a part in the Jamie Foxx Show until 2001. But she couldn’t stop being cast as a girl next door kind of character and wanted to change that typecast.
So she took both her manager’s and doctor’s advice to lost weight, ideal since the latter diagnosed her with type 2 diabetes. She started cutting out sugar and following a ketogenic diet. It worked a treat. She reverses her diabetes and also landed some impressive roles, including on the sitcom Mr. Iglesias.
