Karina (Aespa/Girls On Top)
Karina, the charismatic leader of Aespa, carries a unique touch to her name. Born Yoo Ji-min, she’s Catholic and even chose her stage name because of her baptismal name, Katarina. She stands out as the tallest member in both Aespa and Girls On Top.
Karina’s voyage into K-pop was inspired by none other than Girls’ Generation. Before her debut, she already tasted fame, joining the renowned idol Kai for a Hyundai performance that lit up the K-pop scene. Her stress busters include shopping, savoring good food, and finding solace in a good book. Her path to stardom began with a casting manager sliding into her social media DMs in 2016.
