Sharmila Nicollet
From the greens of Bangalore, India, Sharmila Nicollet turned a family pastime into a groundbreaking career, becoming a trailblazer in women’s golf. Introduced to the sport at 11 by her cousins, her casual swings quickly evolved into a serious pursuit of excellence. By 18, Sharmila became the youngest Indian to qualify for the Ladies European Tour.
Her achievements include winning the All-India Ladies Amateur Championship from 2007 to 2008, making her the youngest to do so, and representing India at prestigious tournaments like the Asian Games 2006. Beyond her skills on the course, Sharmila’s contributions to promoting golf in India have made her a beloved figure in the sport.
