Eddie Murphy – Coming to America

Blessed with an immense comedic pedigree, Eddie Murphy burst out in the early ’80s. He would then treat cinema lovers to back-to-back hits like “Beverly Hills Cop,” “Trading Places,” and “48 Hrs.” He finished the Green Decade on an all-time high with the release of his 1988 cult classic “Coming to America.”
Murphy’s explosive entry into entertainment meant a revolution in the industry and a shake-up in the comedy status quo, thanks to his hilarious rants, colorful commentary, and provocative jokes. In September 2021, Murphy signed a first-look, three-picture deal with Amazon Studios after the success of his 2021 reboot “Coming 2 America.”
