Johnny Depp – 21 Jump Street

Johnny Depp’s nascent acting career got a much-needed push in 1987 when he was cast in “21 Jump Street.” The popular drama aimed at younger audiences featured a young cast, including Holly Robinson and Peter DeLuise. The series garnered him worldwide attention as a teen idol, a label the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star found “irritating.”
Depp was apparently so sick of his newfound fame and teen idol status, he would purposefully trash his trailer and act out on several occasions in a bid to get fired from the show. Depp appeared at the 2021 Rome Film Festival in high spirits following his high-profile court battle with ex-wife Amber Heard.
