Princess Diana and Princes Charles – Settlement: $44 Million

Prince Charles and Princess Diana were married for roughly 15 years before they famously got divorced in 1996. At the time the pair were bound by an agreement that stated that the details of their separation ought to never be disclosed. However, reportedly Diana was given a settlement sum of what would today be over $44 million and a yearly stipend of approximately $550,000.
Although the royal family suggested that the split was amicable, the infamous cheating scandal makes us think otherwise. Diana kept her title even after marriage, allowing her to retain a private office from which she could fulfill her royal duties and charity ventures. Diana was taken from the world way before her time, and Charles is next in line for the throne.
