Robert L. Johnson and Sheila Crump – Settlement: $400 Million

Robert L. Johnson and Sheila Crump, the co-founders of Black Entertainment Television, are the first African-American billionaires in the world, so the settlement of $400 million is not shocking. The two like-minded business aficionados got married in 1969 and were blissfully together for 33 years before splitting in 2002.
Their two children kept them in touch with each other but they went on to marry other people. Crump is still big in the world of business but gave most of her fortune away to charity. Johnson also remains steady in the business industry. He is now married to Lauren Wooden and is still a billionaire.
