After meeting on the set of “The Legacy,” Sam Elliott and Katharine Ross started dating. They exchanged vows in 1984 and proved that Hollywood marriages can last despite what other people say about the industry. Both support each other, including when she urged her husband to take on “Mask” opposite Cher.
Ross must have sensed that the project would catapult the actor known for his mustache to stardom. Nearly four decades later, Elliott, who stars in the 2021 show “Y: 1883,” considers hard work and common sensibility as the reasons their relationship had lasted.
