George & Norma Strait – Together Since 1971 – Putting A United Front No Matter What
Being one of the biggest names in country music, it’s difficult to imagine how George Strait managed to keep his marriage to Norma Strait going strong since 1971. However, the pair go way back, even before the singer became a star. Despite their enduring union, they have been rocked multiple times, including the death of their daughter in 1986.
The Straits never shared anything about the tragedy, reflective of how private they are as a family. However, Norma did appear in George’s music video for “Codigo.” As of 2021, the country legend continues to tour across the United States.
