Mara Wilson’s unforgettable roles in the popular ’90s films “Mrs. Doubtfire” and “Matilda” made her famous as a former child actress. However, she found it challenging to land suitable roles after growing out of her “cute” phase and delivering box office smashes. Instead, Wilson chose to pursue other interests.
She ostensibly left the acting industry in 2000 to focus on writing; her book “Where Am I Now?” is available on NPR.org. But according to rumors, she has also been looking for work as an actress once again. It seems like some celebrities really are okay with their decision to leave Hollywood behind, while others change their minds.
