When Peter Ostrum starred as the young Charlie Bucket in the musical fantasy film “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” people thought it was just the beginning of a long and prosperous acting journey. However, years later, it became clear that would be his one and only appearance in any Hollywood production.
Though fans who watched the film might recognize his face even today, Ostrum has followed a different path in life. The former actor realized his passion and interest in animals and thought of saving their lives. He lives in New York, where he’s been working as a veterinary for years, specializing in treating large animals.
