James McAvoy & Anne-Marie Duff – 2006
In the course of filming Shameless, James McAvoy met Anne-Marie Duff, who played his character’s love interest, and they got married in 2006. Four years after their wedding, the couple added a son to the family. They seemed to enjoy a blissful life together until they announced their split in 2016.
Although they were always busy, they shared a North London flat when not working elsewhere so as not to disrupt their son’s life. But despite their efforts, their marriage was only able to last a decade. The same year of their split, McAvoy met Lisa Liberati, and in February 2022, he confirmed they had secretly married.
